Dear Lord Jesus,
I ask You to come into my heart.
I confess that I am a sinner and I have sinned against You.
Please forgive me.
I believe that You died on the cross as payment for all of my sins, rose again
by the power of God, and
I confess You Jesus as Lord and Savior of my life.
Please save me.
In Jesus name I pray and trust, Amen.
If you prayed that prayer, or any prayer similar, asking God for forgiveness of all your sins -- not based on your life, but on that life given by Jesus, the Bible says that you are eternally forgiven of all your sins and that you will spend eternity in heaven, completely protected in Love by God.
Proof of this is found in:
John 3:16 -
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
Titus 3:4-6 -
"He saved us, not on the basis of deeds...but according to His mercy."
Romans 8:1-2 -
"There is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
Acts 16:31 -
"Believe in the Lord Jesus and you shall be saved, you and your household."
Matthew 10:32 - "Everyone therefore who shall confess Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven."
Acts 4:12 -
"no other name under heaven by which we must be saved."
Joel 2:32, Romans 10:13, and Acts 2:21 -
"everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
1 John 5:11-12, Romans 4:4-8, Isaiah 55:6, Hebrews 10:12, John 5:24, Revelation 3:20, Romans 6:23
The Bible is filled with the pathway to Life, all pointing to one light, one shepherd, one kingdom, one way, to eternal peace and love -- God's eternal kingdom -- we can get there through the atoning blood of Jesus--who gives it freely to everyone who accepts.
Now re-pray that prayer and answer these questions:
Where is Jesus?
Who died for your sins?
Are you forgiven?
Who's the Lord of your life?
See you in Heaven.
